Preaching:

Dr. Kenneth Cloud is the Director of Missions for Bowen Baptist Association and has been in the ministry for 49 years. He and his wife Brenda spent 21 years in Full-time Evangelism, preaching across America, most of Canada, Great Britain and the Caribbean Islands.  He has served in denominational work on the state and local levels, having served as Vice President of the Georgia Baptist Convention in 2009. His wife, Brenda, served as President of the Georgia Baptist Ministers Wives in 2003 and President of the Associational Missionaries Wives in 2010.  They have two sons in the ministry.

Leading worship:

Chris King has been a part of the Victory Fellowship Church Praise Team for 9 years.  The entire Praise Team is dedicated to leading others into the manifest presence of God on a weekly basis.  Along with worship leading, Chris also teaches the Jr. High Youth at VFC.  Chris works as a Property Manager for IPAD Mgt. in Tallahassee. He has been married for 11 years to his beautiful wife Dana, and together they have two kids, Lilly and Hayes.  Chris is the son of Beverly & Al Clay.

  • Food Drive for Safe Haven — During the months of March and April there will be a box in the Fellowship Hall for non-perishable food items.
  • The Worship Committee wants to make a concerted effort to revive our choir.  We’ve ordered new choir books and will start working on choir specials.  Everyone who is interested in helping with this effort is invited to choir practice on Wednesday nights from 7:30 until 8:15 pm.
  • Men’s Fellowship will be Thursday night, March 24th, at 7:00 pm.
  • Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University:  Sundays – 5:00 pm.
  • Experiencing God:  Sundays – 5:30 p.m.
  • Radical Bible Study:  Sunday night – 6:00 pm.
  • Youth Committee meeting will be Sunday, 3/20, at 4:30 pm in the Youth Room.
  • Thank God for Good Friday Crucifixion Reenactment – April 22, 2011 12:15 p.m. & 5:45 p.m.  Thomasville Fairgrounds (Pavo Rd)  FREE ADMISSION.  Bring a chair….invite your family & friends!

  • We appreciate your desire to serve, but if you are not on the Children’s Worship schedule, please attend your own Sunday School class and Adult Worship service.

A big THANK YOU from the Women’s Ministry to all who contributed to the “Bottled Water” outreach mission project!  430+ bottles of water were collected and labeled with encouragement scriptures.

February 6th Announcements

  • The flowers in the sanctuary today were given by  Mr. and Mrs. Kinsey in celebration of their 17th wedding anniversary
  • Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University continues tonight at 5:00 in the Senior Adults SS room!  Childcare will be provided during class.  Contact Chris Bass if you have any questions.
  • The Experiencing God Class will begins tonight, February 6th at 5:30pm.  Please see Mr. Bret Bush if you have any questions
  • Brian Free and Assurance Concert:  First Newark Baptist Church Sunday, February 13, 6:00 p.m.  There is no charge and a nursery will be provided.  They are a southern gospel group and have won several Dove awards.
  • Radical Youth Bible Study will continue tonight, 6pm at the Hughes Home.
  • The Youth Valentine Banquet is February 12th at the Hughes home. Please make sure you sign up if you plan on attending. Cost is $5
  • Conference will be held February 9th at 7:15pm.
  • Women’s Fellowship will be February 17th at 6:30pm.
  • Men’s Fellowship will be February 24th at 6:30pm.

YOU STILL HAVE TIME….collecting bottle water from now until February 13th to be donated to the American Red Cross!

Please bring bottle water for our Church wide mission outreach project.  A table has been set up in the Fellowship Hall for Bottle Water to be placed on.

First Newark Baptist Church has begun taking donations of gently used or new Children’s clothing, shoes, coats and bookbags for our Annual FREE Yard Sale to be held on July 23, 2011 at 8:00 a.m. The yard sale is held to benefit school children and their families.  Donations may be dropped off at First Newark and left under the shelter at the Drive Thru side of the church up against the building if the church office is closed when you arrive or given to Jeanne Wilcox.  Thank you for your support!
