Announcements: December 26, 2010

  • The Flowers in the sanctuary today were given by  Chris and Morgan Bass in celebration of Chris’ Birthday!
  • The RA’s will be having their annual penny parade through the end of December! All money will go towards the Lottie Moon offering.
  • Don’t Forget to check your family’s mail bag in the fellowship hall!!
  • Our youth will be participating in “Move,”  a YEC event December 28th-30th.
  • The Seniors and College students will be going to Passion January 1-4th.
  • We are looking for parents who are willing to become a support team for the Children’s Program and serve only one month a quarter. If interested please make a note on your connection card and place it in the offering plate.
  • AWANA will kick off January 9th!!
  • If you are interesting in helping please see Judy Barrow or P.J. Selph.
  • There will be a Youth Committee meeting Tuesday, December 28th 7pm at the Coffee’s home.
  • There will be No Children’s Worship today.
  • We will not have an evening service tonight. Enjoy the time with your families.
  • There will be a Deacon meeting next Sunday, January 2nd at 7:30am
  • Conference will be held January 12th at 7:15pm.
  • There will be a Planning Committee meeting Sunday, January 23rd at 4pm.

Announcements: December 5, 2010

  • The Flowers in the sanctuary this week were given by Ms. Virginia O’Neal in memory of her husband L.B. O’Neal.
  • Children’s Worship – The new children’s worship program is in effect this morning. Children kindergarten through 5th grade will meet in the youth room at 9:15am and participate in a worship experience designed just for them! Any children in adult worship are encouraged to join us in the youth room.
  • Baby Shower – There will be a baby shower for Annais Rollins on Sunday, December 12th from 2-4 p.m.  She is registered at Target and DDP.

Adults:

  • The Adult Christmas Program will be Sunday, December 19th during the morning service.

Youth:

  • There will be a Progressive Dinner for youth on December 18th.
  • The Youth Christmas Program will be Sunday, December 19th during the evening service. A social will follow in the fellowship hall.

Children:

  • We are looking for parents who are willing to become a support team for the Children’s Program and serve only one month a quarter. If interested please make a note on your connection card and place it in the offering plate.
  • GA Post Office – GA’s are sponsoring a Christmas Post office for the members of Gatlin Creek.  For $0.20 per card you can “mail” your Christmas Cards to fellow church members.  Place your Christmas cards and money in the wrapped Christmas boxes under the bulletin board in the fellowship hall. The GA’s will distribute them to the correct “mail bags”, also located in the fellowship hall. Be sure to check your family’s mail bag and collect your own Christmas Cards. All proceeds are for our Lottie Moon Christmas Offering. Merry Christmas!!

Reminders:

  • Conference will be held this Wednesday, December 8th at 7:15pm. Dinner will be served before services begin.
  • There will be No Children’s Worship December 19th so that our kids can enjoy the Christmas program presented by their parents and friends!
  • We will have a Christmas Eve Service on December 24th at 6pm.
  • On December 26th we will have a single worship service at 10:30am. There will be no Sunday school, Children’s Worship, or PM service.
  • Women’s Ministry will meet at GCBC on December 11th at 8am and leave together for “Another Broken Egg” for breakfast in Bradfordville.
  • There will be a Women’s Ministry meeting on December 16th in the Fellowship Hall. Please bring a finger food and wrapped ornament.

AWANA:

We are looking for some AWESOME volunteers to help in the following age groups:

  • Puggles
  • Cubbies
  • Sparks
  • Truth and Training

Announcements: November 7, 2010

Adults

  • Experiencing God class will be held each Sunday from 5:30 – 7:00 p.m. for 11 weeks.  Workbooks will cost about $10.  See Bret Bush to sign up.  The class is open to all Christians.

Youth

  • Don’t forget our Chick-fil-a devotions every Thursday morning at 7am!

Children

  • If you are interested in volunteering for Children’s Church make a note on your connection card and place it in the offering plate.
  • The New Children’s Worship format will begin on November 28th.

Women’s Ministry

  • Calling all Women…you are invited to attend the next Women’s Ministry Meeting, November 18th @ 6:30 p.m.
  • We will share in a Thanksgiving Meal together.
  • Novembers Mission Project:   We will send bagged cookies with Charles Willingham to share with the prisoners in the Prison Ministry.  Please bring with you 2 to 3 dozen of cookies.  We will bag them at the meeting in order for the baggies to have assorted cookies for them to enjoy.

Baby Shower

  • There will be a drop-in Baby Shower today from 1-3pm for Amanda Fulghum (Ashley Fulghum’s sister).
  • Amanda is having a boy and is in need of the basics (i.e. diapers, wipes, baby shampoo, bottles, baby lotion, diaper rash ointment). They have received many clothes and diaper bags already, however any new or used furniture would be greatly appreciated!
  • If you have any questions please call Shea Fulghum at 393-1939 or you can find her in the nursery!

  • There will be a Spaghetti Lunch/Cake Auction on Sunday, November 14th, immediately following the morning worship service.  All proceeds will be used for youth mission trips

October 31st Announcements

Fall Festival (10/31):  Join us  for a night full of fun!  We have booths everyone will enjoy and food you won’t want to miss!!

See you at 6pm!

Baked Goods and Chili should be here at 5:30 for the competition!

Adults

Remember to get with your Sunday School class and prepare your Fall Festival Booth for TONIGHT! Please bring candy for your booth as well.

GCBC will host Fifth Quarter on November 5th after the Central-Bainbridge game! There will also be a LOCK IN for our youth following Fifth Quarter.

If you are interested in volunteering for Children’s Church please see the sign-up sheet in the Fellowship Hall. You can sign up as a teacher, assistant, singer or any other helper and indicate how long you are willing to serve.
