Announcements

• Please Fill Out A Connection Card if you have new contact information, would like to know more about our church, or have any other questions or comments for our staff.  Connection Cards can be found in the chair pockets, please place them in the offering plate as it comes around.
• The Flowers in the Sanctuary today are given by Richard and Lisa Hughes.
• Sunday Morning Worship will remain the same through the month of August.  Evening Services will begin tonight at 6:00 P.M and Wednesday night dinner will begin this week, August 4th, at 5:45 P.M.

Adults

• There will be a Deacon’s Meeting today at 4pm.
• Conference will be held Wednesday, August 11th, at 7:15pm.
• WMU is sponsoring a School Prayer Walk, Saturday August 7th at 9am.   The walk will begin at Dawson Street Baptist Church.

Youth

• Youth Mission Day will be August 7th.  We will meet at the church at 9am, transportation will be provided to the work site.  Be dressed and prepared for outdoor labor and yard work!

Children

• School Begins for our youth and children tomorrow.  Keep them and their friends in your prayers as they battle the struggles of the school year.
• There will be a Back 2 School Bash this Wednesday for our children and youth.  Food, fun and games to help kick-off the school year right!
• The GA’s will be hosting Christmas in August on August 25. Bring a side dish and love to
• share with our church family.

Announcements

We would like to thank our church family for loving, supporting, and praying for us after the loss of our home.  We could not have made it through this time without you.   Thanks for the clothes, food, money, and other supplies you gave us.  Please continue to pray for us as we prepare for a new start with a new home.  We are so blessed to be part of this church.  We love you all.

• Birthday Party (Mrs. Merle Ross) – You’re all invited to help me celebrate my 90th Birthday at a party given by all my children on Saturday afternoon, July 24th, from 2pm– until.  It will be held at the home of Krista and Neel Parramore at 19106 US 319 Hwy between Thomasville and Coolidge.  No gifts please.  See you there!  – Merle Ross
• The Barwick-Waters Wedding invites you to join them in their celebration on July 31st at 2pm in the sanctuary.

• Conference will be held on July 21st at 7:15pm.  Please mark your calendars!
• Men’s Fellowship will be Thursday, July 22nd, at 7pm.

Youth:

• Youth Outreach begins tomorrow!  We will meet at the church at 7:30am.
• Youth Pool Party will be Wednesday, July 21st, at the home of Mrs. Beverly Clay.  The party starts at 6:30pm.  Dress Appropriately!

Children:

• VBS starts TONIGHT from 6pm to 9pm.  Come in your cowboy gear and prepared to have fun!
• If you would like to order a VBS T-shirt, there is an order form on the bulletin board in the Fellowship Hall.  The shirts are $9.50 and are available in children and adult sizes.  Please make checks payable to Gatlin Creek Baptist Church and put “VBS shirt” on the memo line.

• First Newark Baptist Church is collecting donations of gently used children’s clothing, shoes and book bags for our Annual Free Yard Sale to be held Saturday, July 10, 8:00 a.m.  Please bring your donations any time Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. before July 2.  Thank you for your help with this ministry to school children and their families in our community.  See Jeanne Wilcox for more information.

Adults:

• Salt Shakers -Please see the list posted on the bulletin boards around the church, or refer to the list given to you for your group assignments.
• The Deacon Nomination Box will be in the vestibule through June and July. Please submit your nomination before the end of July.
• A Planning Committee Meeting will be held this afternoon at 4pm.

Youth:

• A Youth Committee Meeting will be held TODAY immediately following the morning service.

Children:

• VBS will be July 11 -14 from 6 to 9pm. It’s time to round up some volunteers for VBS, if you would like to help there is a sign up sheet in the fellowship hall.
